Professional Profile:
Ms. McCoy attended undergraduate school at South Carolina State University where she received a bachelors’ degree in Professional Mathematics. Ms. McCoy then attended the University of Delaware to obtain a certification in secondary education. Ms. McCoy’s graduate degree hails from the University of Phoenix and is in the area of Curriculum and Instruction of Mathematics. Currently, Ms. McCoy is teaching Mathematics at Delcastle Technical High School.
Course Description:
The basic theme of this course is “Math Making Sense”. Students will spend the following sessions working on a project that brings math to life. Ms. McCoy will provide the basic requirements of the project, but it is up to the students to go above and beyond what is required. Technology is encouraged.
