OUR VISION

FAME, Inc. is creating an innovative, state of the art, community space dubbed “The Learning Lab.”

The Learning Lab will transform how students learn, providing a space to turn problems into creative solutions using cutting-edge technology, supplementing and catapulting academic study in the classroom. This space will integrate classroom knowledge of STEM principles with hands-on experience. 

Additionally, the Learning Lab will feature the Career Confidence Center, a one-stop hub for learners, providing access to internet, computers/laptops, opportunities to seek academic credit recovery, regionally approved job training/certification initiatives, and innovative technologies, to secure life altering employment opportunities.  

FAME, Inc. is committed to developing programs, infrastructure, and opportunities that will advance underrepresented minorities and transform the community. The Learning Lab is the first of its kind, creating a destination for innovation and academics, a new concept responding to the needs of a new generation.  

the impact

The Learning Lab will attract, empower, and develop the skills of students and members of the community, while fostering meaningful relationships with industry partners. Multidisciplinary student teams with diverse backgrounds will thrive in The Learning Labs in an environment of competitive collaboration.

The Learning Lab will increase FAME, Inc.’s academic and workforce development footprint from 3,936 served annually, to over 15,000 annually. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as a city-wide operational hub minus the stigma that many fear from visiting the Department of Labor or various other governmental agencies and locations.

FAME, Inc. graduates, from K – Gray, will have the skills and experience to take leadership positions in Fortune 500 companies, launch their own enterprise, and build their own destiny.
